Attendance Sheet
Grade & Section: __________________ Adviser: __________________
The school days across the top, names down the side. Print it on long bond or save a PDF.
Need names and signatures instead? Use the sign-in sheet maker.
Type a title and a second line, like the grade and section and the adviser’s name.
Pick the month and the days your class meets, like Monday to Friday. Only those dates get a column. For a training or course without set dates, switch to numbered sessions and set how many.
Paste your class list with one name per line, or leave it empty and write the names in by hand. If you saved a list in Im Here!, one click adds it.
Long bond is already picked; switch to short bond or A4 if that’s what’s in the printer. Landscape gives each day a wider column, which helps with a full month.
Print it, or save it as a PDF. Long lists continue onto more pages, and every page repeats the title and the dates.
A class, a team, or a weekly group. You write the names down the side once and use the sheet all month.
One page covers every session, so you can spot someone who missed three Fridays in a row.
The teacher or coach fills in the grid. Nobody has to pass a clipboard around the room.
Count each row into the Days present column for report cards, payroll, or a club’s records.
For a one-off event or a group that changes every time, people should write their own names. The sign-in sheet maker makes that kind of sheet.
Mark every box, including absences. An empty box could mean absent or could mean you forgot. A letter leaves no doubt.
Take attendance at the same point every day, such as right after the flag ceremony or the bell, so late arrivals get marked the same way each time.
Cross out holidays before the month starts, and any class suspension as soon as it’s announced. A line down the whole column keeps a day off from counting as an absence.
Sort the names A–Z so they match your class record. Copying marks over goes faster when both lists are in the same order.
Add up the totals on the last day of the month, while the sheet is still in front of you and the marks are fresh.
Keep last month’s sheet. Parents and the school office sometimes ask about attendance long after the month is over.
If your class has phones, Im Here! can take attendance at the start of class. You open a room and put the four-digit PIN or the QR code on the screen. Everyone types their name on their own phone, and the names show up on your screen as they come in. Add your class list and the room shows who's missing.
When you're done, copy the list or download it as a CSV. It's free, and nobody needs an account. Keep a printed sheet for days without Wi-Fi, or when there's a brownout.
Want everyone to scan instead of typing a PIN? Read how QR code attendance works.
Open a room, put the PIN on the board, and watch the names arrive.
